Patek Philippe Complications Calatrava 5212A-001 Weekly Calendar Stainless Steel Silver Opaline Dial (2020)

The 5212A introduced a complication with no precedent in Patek Philippe's modern catalogue and considerable rarity across the entire industry: the weekly calendar, which displays the ISO week number — the internationally standardised system used across business, logistics, and professional scheduling — alongside the full day name, date, and month on a single dial. The week number scale running around the outer ring, graduated 1 through 53 with months printed between the week clusters, transforms the watch into a professional planning instrument of genuine utility, housed within a round case of classical Patek Philippe proportions. The 5212A's stainless steel construction — a material Patek Philippe deploys with deliberate selectivity across its Complications range — signals accessibility relative to the precious metal catalogue, a reading reinforced by the tan calfskin strap with cream stitching.

The 40mm stainless steel case carries a polished bezel and screw-down case back. The silver opaline dial presents three concentric rings: an outer ring carrying week numbers 1–53 interspersed with printed month names; a middle ring displaying the full day name; and an inner opaline field with applied baton hour markers and a date aperture at three o'clock. A red-tipped seconds hand provides the sole colour accent. A calfskin strap with cream stitching and stainless steel prong buckle completes the reference. Caliber 26-330 S C J, self-winding, powers the movement.
