Greubel Forsey occupies a singular place in contemporary haute horlogerie as one of the most uncompromising independents — founded by Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey in 2004 and renowned for inventions like the Quadruple Tourbillon, the Double Tourbillon 30°, and a standard of 100% hand-finishing rarely matched at any price. The Balancier 3, introduced in late 2023 and produced from 2024 through 2028, represents the atelier's most accessible entry into its world — limited to just 88 pieces per colorway, the result of nearly twenty years of consideration. It distills the brand's full technical and finishing language into a more direct, sports-oriented expression, characterized by three architecturally suspended bridges and a 12.6mm variable-inertia balance wheel — among the largest in contemporary watchmaking.

The 41.5mm Convexe case in titanium measures 13.35mm thick, the lugs unscrewed for the first time in Greubel Forsey's history and profiled to follow the wrist's natural curvature. The openworked black dial displays the balance wheel at five, fast-rotating barrels at one and ten, small seconds at eight beneath a fixed red triangle, and an arch bridge carrying the hour and minute hands. The hand-wound in-house caliber comprises 282 parts and 43 jewels seated in olived gold chatons, delivering a 72-hour chronometric reserve via twin coupled barrels, completed by a rubber strap with titanium folding clasp.
